Wedding Stuff

This is my best friend, Kate. We've been friends since middle school. Now she goes to school in GA and I go to school in BYU so we don't see each other very much. We stay in touch though. It's funny, we don't talk or text that much, but we still know the important stuff about each other's lives. When we talk after we haven't spoken in awhile it's like nothing has changed. I think that's the most important part of a friendship. Naturally people's lives will lead them in opposite directions and being able to stay in touch through that is what really matters.

Day One: A picture of yourself with 15 facts

Yeah, I'm kinda weird!

1. I am a huge nerd who is studying accounting

2. I despise economists because they think they know the answer to everything

3. My fiance is an economist. But I only despise him when he talks about economics

4. I know absolutely nothing about wedding planning

5. I miss ballet sooo much and am still a little bitter that I never danced a lead role other than Sugarplum

6. I'm annoyed way too easily, but I don't really hold a grudge

7. I hate having to get up and go pee. I will hold it for as long as possible

8. I loooooooooooove Dr. Pepper

9. I am addicted to chapstick. My chapstick of choice: Blistex medicated

10. I am intensely competitive! One time I burst into tears multiple times because Greg was beating my at Phase 1o. What the heck?!

11. Going to ward FHE on January 3, 2011 was the best choice I ever made

12. I like visiting GA but I don't think I ever want to live here

13. I turn into a total psycho when I am hungry. Fast Sunday= YIKES. Poor Greg.

14. I don't like to take naps. I always sleep way too long and end up feeling like crappola by the time I wake up

15. Sometimes I get really hyper and say and do weird things

Junior Core Survivor

The first week of Fall Semester was a huge wake up call to me. I was starting the Accounting Junior Core- I had heard horror stories, but now I was in the thick of it. I could practically see my scholarship slipping right out of my hands, my GPA plummeting, my sanity going out the window, all my free time sucked away. I remember thinking that I wouldn't even have time to eat, much less to exercise or play. I remember calling home in tears, wanting to drop out. I can't say that I'm not an emotional person, but I usually keep my emotions to myself, so the fact that I called home means it was a huge deal.

I made some big decisions that week. I made decisions about keeping the Sabbath Day holy and making time to still care about people around me, despite the heavy workload. I made goals about not letting my perfectionism get the best of me. I made goals about stepping outside of my comfort zone, finding time to broaden my horizons in ways that will help me more throughout my life than a good grade in any class could. I promised myself that I would do my best and that I would be ok with that.

Holy cow, it was a rough year! There were nights when I couldn't sleep because my mind was so wired. There was so much frustration with hard assignments and group members. Not gonna, lie, I totally lost it a few times. They expected a lot out of us!

I just walked out of my last test for the Junior Core. It's over. 100%. I have no more obligations to fulfill. I did my time. IT'S OVER!!!!!!

And I'd have to say, I did pretty dang awesome on my goals

Honeymoon

We found where we will be going for our honeymoon. I was so excited when I found this place online - I wouldn't stop saying "Oh my gosh, it's so cute!" Basically I wanted to book it then and there. So we did. It's all ours for those 4 days.
